Remembrance Sunday is a day for the nation to remember and honour those who have sacrificed themselves to secure and protect our freedom.
At the eleventh hour on the eleventh day of the eleventh month. The Two Minute Silence is observed on Armistice Day, the day which marks the end of the First World War.
Pupils at Burnt Oak Primary School not only observed the Two Minute Silence this year but also wrote poems and diary entries as soldiers, as well as designing poppies in recognition of this special event. We presented these to parents during a recent exhibition.
